      JD and Lucy Armstrong hosted the Springfield, IL games on May 20, 2006. Weather was mild and turnout larger than last year's. Almost a half a dozen visitors showed interest in joining the Armstrong Clan Society. Twelve clans and fifteen pipe bands attended these games.

     The ACS tent was sandwiched between two other reiver clans, the Littles and Irvins. Lucy had purchased the Ancient Map of the Borders Clans, mentioned in a recent issue of The Armstrong Chronicles, it generated a great deal of attention when displayed on an easel in front of our tent. It was a real attention getter. They also displayed a pot of ready to bloom Thyme at the tent and labeled it the "Armstrong Flower".
